Beech Tree Stud is a family owned and run stud farm situated just outside the village of Ballymore Eustace in Co. Kildare. We are a short 11km from the M7 Motorway and 10km from the M9 motorway making access to any part of Ireland very simple. Beech Tree Stud is a newly, purpose built stud farm consisting of 107 acres of limestone rich land and is steeped in beauty and history.
Surrounding the entire farm are the most beautiful Beech Trees and we are blessed to have our own stream running through the entire farm and small forest which is home to native deer. Beech tree was part of the original ‘Mullaghboden Estate.’
This was one of the finest farms in Co. Kildare spanning back to the 1800s and the original Mullaboden House still stands in the forestry adjacent to the farm. Our beautifully designed yard consists of 22 stables in an American style barn and outside courtyard stables. We have a roofed 8 horse walker and indoor lunge ring. Also making up the yard is a machinery shed and hay / straw barn.
Amongst our other facilities are 3 woodchip turnout pens – ideal for young foals in those first fews days after foaling, a fully enclosed veterinary stocks and a slatted cattle shed to house our own herd of Charlais/Limousine cattle which we mix graze on the farm with the horses. We make all of our own hay / haylage and silage on farm and take pride in the excellent condition of all of our livestock.
Over the past few years, I have had mares, foals and yearlings with Paul and Sinead and the care they have given them has been second to none. They always come home looking better than when they left and I couldn’t recommend them more highly to care for your horse. - Craig Lennon
